Patriarchal Blessing

 Oh good morning kid. 

Last night mom and Joey were cleaning his old bunk bed out of his room. Mom was going through one of the night stands he was using for drawers and found your original patriarchal blessing in one of the drawers. I assume that you have a copy of it with you.  I write this to ask you to read it with the same questions and concerns that you expressed to us in our call yesterday about your whether your call is from God, about what kind of spirit you are and were in the pre existence, and about what kind of person you can be in your future. It also mentioned your study of history and your eventual prosperity in your profession. It’s an awesome blessing Jacob and is such an important guide for you right now. As you read it, consider what it admonishes you to do regarding the atonement. I think that is the key to your concerns about being the type of person you want to be.

P.s. I was also thinking of the watermelon water incident. I think you asked for the regular water because you wanted to back up your comp. It sounds like you’re protective of him, which means you have love for him. Then on Sunday when he was getting scolded you still felt for him. It wouldn’t have been appropriate to say anything or argue with the member, but it is appropriate to back him up and comfort him. Jacob, your actions means you are doing your mission how you are supposed to, you are following the spirit how you are supposed to. You will mean a lot to Elder De La Cruz for a long time.
