“RRRREAL Mexican food”

Oh happy Wednesday, or Thursday by the time you get this Jacob!

Well, I guess the big news is that I may be going back to the office at the end of April. I was shocked by how it made me feel. I actually kinda felt sick, it put me in a pretty bad mood. I’ve had this job about two and a half years and I’ve been home for two of them. It’s weird because for the first year I wanted to go back, not now. It’s not all bad though. I will be considered a hybrid worker, which means I can work from home some days and from the office some days. I feel like I’m going to miss your brothers a lot. I didn’t see them that much, but more than when I’m in the office. I enjoy driving Ben to and from trax and bugging Joey after school when he’s trying to watch SpongeBob. I’m just glad I got to be home when you were doing the mtc. I am grateful for my job, but I do admit that I have been poking around the job boards lately. 

Last night we went to this restaurant in Harriman that is supposed to be like authentic Mexico City food. The things we ordered sounded like some of the foods you’ve described. I really wanted to like it, and I even acted like I liked it. But I’m not sure how much I did like it . We’ll take you there when you get home and you can tell us if it’s good and I just need to expand my palate or if it’s not as good as the real stuff in real Mexico City. I’ll attach pictures. 

I had this girlfriend once from Mexico City, and about five times every time I’d see her she’d tell me about “RRRREAL” Mexican food or “RRRRRREAL” Mexicans or whatever with overly rolled Rs. She’s why I can relate to how you must feel about your companions, even the ones you like. We only dated about the equivalent of two transfers, one would have been better.

Tonight Joey and I went to young mens. They played volleyball with the girls. Man, some of those kids are annoying, even the ones I like. Joes a pretty good athlete and played about as good as anyone. I don’t love being an old man, but I’ll sure take it over being a teenager these days.

Tonight was the first episode of moon knight on Disney+. It was pretty good. Ben approved, but I was hoping he’d geek out a little more.

Yesterday your brothers got their conference legos. I know they missed you again. Ben got a Gibson guitar and Joey got this really cool globe. I’m looking forward to conference, but the girls are coming over for the women’s session, so I may have to go somewhere else . I’ve been reading October’s talks like crazy, but I may not make it by Saturday.
