 Oh hi bakey,

It’s Sunday night and for some reason I am super tired. It may be because of fast Sunday, or it may be because I ate a lot at grandmas after fast Sunday. But today was a good day. I slept in pretty late, with also may be a reason I’m so tired. It’s probably a cheat, but I find that fasting goes faster if I sleep in. Then I helped Joe a little with his lesson for priest quorum. Not too much because he’s pretty independent. Ben also helped him during sacrament meeting. The priests quorum is now so huge we have to meet on the stage. Joe did a great job, even though the entire second row of priests were on their phones for most of the lesson. I hope we get the boys to teach from now on, they are fully capable, or should be anyway.

The kid across the street just put in is mission call. I’m not sure how well you know him because he mostly lives with his mom. But hopefully soon you won’t be the only missionary on the wall. I do think that there’s a girl serving now too, but she doesn’t seem to have a plaque.

As stated, we went to grandmas for dinner. She got very annoyed because your uncles were grilling the burgers. At one point uncle Tim comes in with a stack of burger patties reduced to the size, color, and consistency of charcoal bricketts. At current inflated prices, it was probably at least $10 bucks worth of beef. She had all her wonderful grandma fixins including her beans, salad, potato salad, jello salad, chips, ice cream etc. I get a bit overwhelmed when everyone is there, so I went downstairs with your brothers. It’s still pretty empty and sad down there without you and Jordan.

Yesterday was a fun day with uncle Tim. We went on a ride with that off road group I sometimes hang out with to the west desert. The goal was to find the big herds of wild horses. We found three, and I only got pictures of two, and one of them, as you’ll see , is not super family friendly if you know what I mean. But it was a perfect day, 80° outside and perfectly sunny. We also drove past the Dugway army base, and found a cool place to camp someday called White Rock. It’s fun to be with uncle Tim. One of the times we stopped we started talking to a random guy who’s parents are from Portugal, well, you know where the conversation went from there. Then on the next stop chatted with another guy who knows several other people that uncle Tim also knows and now they are best buddies. Your uncles super power is being able to connect to anybody anywhere. It is impressive.

The 4Runner did well even though the trail was mostly mild. All my systems of lights and compressors are working well. My new camera did well too. Even though I have a ton to learn on it still.

Last night mom, ben, and I went to the temple to do sealings. We had reservations, but it was super busy there. Ben thought it was going to be awkward, but I thought it was great. I had a bunch of sons to seal to parents, so it was fun that we could crank them through with Benjamin.

Friday night mom and I went to IFA to get seeds, and to see Joey. It was fun to walk around there and pretend not to see Joe as we walked right past each other. He did the same. I bought a straw cowboy hat in hopes that I looked more Mexican in it. But nobody’s hired me to do any manual labor so far.

Other wise, things are normal around here. Spring is here so it’s time to start getting the yard going. I wonder if we’re going to be able to water much this year though, we didn’t get much snow.

The war in the Ukraine is still going. But not so well for Russia. There are some reports that Russia has lost 15,000 soldiers. Including 7 generals. All the sanctions that Biden has put into place seem to be working too, but I don’t think he gets enough credit for it. It is kinda scary to think of what someone as evil as Putin, and he is evil, could do in desperation of loosing a war he should have been able to win in a matter of weeks. He does have weapons of mass destruction and he may be anxious to use them. Hopefully he’ll find a less destructive way to save himself. Or even better he’ll just go away.

The Utes picked up a 4 star Quarterback commit from Mississippi yesterday. I wonder if he’ll even see the light of day with Cam Rising around. I’m excited for the spring game, even if Joey won’t be able to go.

The final four is set, but I honestly don’t know who’s in it. Kansas and Villanova maybe? I’m sure Benjamin will fill you in.

Hopefully this week will be a quiet one too. My freelance project is on delay, which I really don’t mind. Hopefully work will be normal too.

Hopefully we can chat a bit tomorrow. You know I’m curious about your new area and your new comp and your new ward. I hope it’s going well for you. I pray that you’re happy.

Well kid, I surely love you,

Pops
