I hope you enjoy this box of loot. It’s fun to find stuff to send you, the stuff from me is in the silver paper. If you end up with too much stuff, save your box and send extras home, we’ll save it for you. I understand that the outfit we use to send these boxes has a C.O.D. Service, so you can just send it and I’ll pay for it when I pick it up.

Jake and I are sitting here watching the Jazz vs the Warriors...It’s a tight one...The Jazz lead by three with two possessions left...Mitchell just bounced it off of his knee...Warriors have the final possession...the Jazz have a foul to give and two time outs..Durrant bricks a three...Curry the rebound...out of bounds but on who?...refs call it off on Rubio...replay says...IT’S UTAH BALL!..2.8 seconds left...time-out Utah...Donavan fouled...2.5 seconds left...makes the first...107-103 Jazz...drops the second...JAZZ WIN 109-103!!!

I miss you at times like this, Jake is strangely calm. The Jazz have been so inconsistent, this was a good win.

I just wanted to knock this letter out to drop it in your box before we sealed it up. Sorry for the disgusting abominations that Joe sent you. I tried to relieve a little of your suffering by eating two myself. That’s about all I could do before my blood toxicity levels reached irreversible levels.

I read in the Church News and they said that the Oakland Temple will be rededicated in next year with an open house. I imagine you helping with the tours and stuff. Or, you could be assigned far away. it’s exciting to think about what is in your future.

Speaking of your future, you are fortunate enough that you will have two vastly different Christmas mission experiences. Both will be really special, and much closer to the true meaning of Christmas. Both will be difficult in being away, not just from home and family, but also from traditions and the familiar. I know you’ll make the most of it. I hope you are recording your thoughts and feelings in your journal. They will be so dear to you in your future.

I’m almost done with my Y-Wing. It’s been maybe the most fun I’ve ever had building a model. When I’m done, I’ll send you some pics. I’ve become super obsessed with models lately, not sure why.

I’m also sending you the story from the Ensign about our Ancestor Antonio Salazar, your Great-Great-Great-Grandfather. It a great pioneer and a great Christmas story. So you know...great.
