Christmas Eve Eve
12.21.18
Good Morning Elder Ben,
I don’t think I have enough to tell you to warrant a letter today, but I was just missing you. And I’m probably getting it done too late for dear Elder delivery, so I’ll just email it..
Your brothers were griping about school today because it will be one of those useless days before the break. Jake said that you wouldn’t want to go either. We took to much time off for the bowl game, so I made them go. Work is pretty dead too. I went to much with Chris Bigelow yesterday, he’s still nuts. We’re getting to be those old farts in the restaurant complaining about melenials and prices.

Okay, I didn’t get too far on the letter the other day, sorry. I hope your package got there safely. Joe wanted to wrap the big box. I sent the card and cash you got from Aunt Stella and Uncle Temmy in there. I’m not sure if you ever sent her a thank you note or not, but if you want, here’s her address. Temmy and Stella Martinez, 2866 South 650 East, Bountiful Utah 84010.
Today was a pretty good church day. We just had the Christmas program. Brother Evans did a nice job with the arrangement. It was also a little preview of the new schedule at just an hour for the meeting. Even Jacob was in the program singing with the Priests quorum.
Later we went to Uncle Tim’s ward for Jordan’s confirmation to the office of Priest. Jacob got to be in the circle. Afterwards, we went over to their house got soup. When we there, someone knocked on the door. Jordan couldn’t open it. So uncle Tim went over to open it and it was stuck. Then he got all upset and yelled through the door to stop messing around, it was still stuck. Then he yelled that he was going to kick the door open. Then I started getting the giggles and mom gave me the stern “mom” look. They had to disassemble the door knob to get it opened. Oh, and Uncle Tim and Aunt Lithia got kicked out of the Ward Choir, not sure why, I just thought it was funny.
Right now we’re watching Home Alone, earlier we watched The Broken Horse Christmas. Your brothers pretended not to like it. I sort of have a soft spot for those cheesy LDS movies. We watched A Christmas Carol last night. Through all of our transitions, things don’t change too much around here.
Today at church, we got to talk to sister Allen. She told us the story of that morning Bother Allen passed away. There’s this type of severe heart attack called the Widow Maker. In most cases, you're dead before you hit the ground, literally. Somehow brother Allen had the strength to call 911, but not to say anything. There was a passerby that stopped to help and also called 911. The strange thing was, the dispatcher didn’t get a name which is standard-operating-procedure. They also had a recording of brother Allen’s call. The call from the passer by also failed to record. Brother Allen lived for another two hours. When he was brought in, he was talking to the doctors, they thought he’d be okay. Turns out over 90% of his heart tissue has died. Sister Allen expressed her gratitude for those last hours she had with Robert, she considers it a blessing and a miracle. I continue to be amazed by her faith. Today mom made three big batches of lasagna, she didn’t know why until we were able to talk to Sister Allen. We took two batches over, Both mom and I had been praying to know how to help over there. Mom knew to take over the food. I felt inspired to offer to help with her business. She needs marketing materials for her business. I can use my design skills to help.
I’m going to attach some photos of my recent models just for fun. The only one you haven’t seen is the Y-wing. I may have over done the weathering, but mostly, I’m happy with the way it turned out.
Tomorrow is Monday, I look forward to your letters. I’ll be going to work, I’m sure they’ll let us out early. Today we tested our setup for skype. I hope our network is solid, otherwise it works pretty well. My info again it’s: https://join.skype.com/invite/ABZaLUOOmG8M and my Skype name is: live:argeorqui
