Bryce Canyon
Oh hi kid!
I’m writing to you from a hotel room about a mile from the entrance to Bryce Canyon National Park. Mom and your brothers have tomorrow and Tuesday off, so we decided to get out of the house. We had sorta thought about going to Valley of Fire State Park north of Las Vegas. We were going to leave yesterday but aunt Lithia got a bunch of tickets to the Jazz game and invited your brothers instead, so we postponed our trip a day.
As I said on Wednesday, works been pretty busy so far this week/month/year/decade. So these days off will be nice. I got a gift certificate from a vendor over Christmas for the Market street grill. That’s a nice seafood restaurant so mom and I called it out 21st anniversary date. We had Alaskan halibut topped with a crab cake covered with hollandaise sauce ...it was really great.
Right now we’re in the room watching nfc championship game—San Francisco, your people vs. Green Bay. It pretty much a blowout for San Fran. Joseph, who is known to indulge on candy from time to time, is bouncing off the walls. Were hoping to go to the pool later tonight, to let your brothers get some energy out.
Yesterday joe and I took our rc cars out to a construction sit over by mom’s school, we had a riot. We started playing tag with them and thinking up new games. I’ve cannibalized my old parts bin to try to get Jacobs running. It’s fun to share hobbies with you guys.
We took an interesting rout to Bryce today. Instead of taking I-15, we cut south at Scipio, went East at Salina onwards fish lake we turned of for Koosharem (yes, a real Utah town name) and went directly towards Bryce via Johns way or Johns Valley road. It was a paved road trough a really pretty Valley. While it was a paved road, it was narrow enough that there were no lane or shoulder lines of any kind. We brought mom’s Buick, so I was worried that the pavement may be sort lived, but once out of the canyon it opened up nicely. I love finding new roads in our state.
We got here in time to go to the visitors center and go to sunset point. It was spectacular, just so amazingly pretty. I’m including some pics with this letter.
Well, I’ll tell you about the rest of our trip when we get home, or tomorrow when we chat.
LYITY!
Pops
P.S. it’s 17 degrees outside right now.

P.P.P.S. It’s an indoor pool
