H-E-double toothpick

Oh hi kid,

Hell, yes hell. As in it’s as hot as that mythical place is supposed to be outside this week. Today it was 103* outside. I made the giant mistake of taking the garbage out without my shoes on...I can still feel it. I have had no desire to go outside today. I think this is as hot I’ve felt since we lived in Texas.

Today was the baby blessing for your new cousin Lucy. According to uncle Tim, the blessing was “anticlimactic.” Which I thought was a bit harsh for a blessing. Jordan did get scolded for walking the wrong way, which made no sense. Jordan told your brothers he like our house way better. After we had the open house at our place. Aunt Lithia provided all the food. Mom and grandma were obsessed with how there would never be enough. There was, it was fine. It was fun to see Nick and Hayley. Aunt Lithia’s sister’s husband Jake came over, actually a bunch of that side of the family came. Anyway, he’s interested in a lot of the same nerdy interests: nasa, model rockets, guns, exploring , history, and Christopher Nolan movies. You might like him too.

Quick update: Joe stepped in dog poo.

Quick update #2’; mom doesn’t need a recipe for that crap.

This week mom said she wanted a cat, but only outside.

Mom has us watching this high budget hallmark series. Every character has three distinct physical qualities. 1: way more than normal hair for their heads; 2: massive jaw lines; and 3. They are all severely Caucasian. The actor playing the grandma rotates from Irish to southern to no accent. But at least she over acts.

As you can tell, not a ton happened this week. Other than jacob getting his license. I’ve got really mixed feelings about it. I’m really proud of him, but you are familiar with that over-protective dad side of me. Another motivation to pray, a lot. He did drive on errands yesterday, in traffic, and did just fine.

Well kid, lyity,

Pops
