Back to work
Hi Benjamin,
Nothing big happened this week bigger than Jordan’s crash. He’s doing pretty well considering how bad it could have been. He was released from the hospital on Thursday. Uncle Tim called come over to help give him a blessing. Jordan was really happy that I brought your brothers. He seems to be getting the royal treatment. He said he’s never been treated this well by his family. Erinn cleaned his entire room, did his laundry, and folded his clothes. Aunt Lithia bought him a new queen size bed. Uncle Tim was considering buying a tv for his room. The blessing went well, it was the first time more than one parent could be with him. Uncle Tim did have a strong impression that all the prayers and fasting on Jordan’s behalf were as good as a priesthood blessing. I was able to fast for him on Wednesday and I felt it was a positive experience.
Yesterday grandma had a pizza party at her house. Jordan seemed to be able to get around as well as could be expected. Your cousins seem to be multiplying. Rebecca had her husband there, ally had her boyfriend. Tyler was even supposed to show up with his, um, chum? But he seems to have no problem ignoring your grandmas attempts at communications. You know, people are welcome to make their own choices, but choosing rudeness towards you grandmother is over the line of you ask me.
Speaking of rudeness towards grandma. She had a call into the VA regarding some issues grandpa is having. The practitioner that contacted her was extremely rude and made her cry. I’d like to find that guy, and make him cry.
She was calling because grandpa has been having some pretty bad nightmares lately, he woke up one night with his hands on grandma. Sounds like pre dimensia. We gave grandpa a blessing and it hasn’t reoccurred, but it’s worth talking to the doctor about.
This week was pretty good. It was moms last week home before school. I can tell she’s excited to go back, even though she’s stressed by all the unknowns this year might bring.
Speaking of unknowns, there’s more and more rumbling about the college football season being canceled. It could be announced this week. I sure hope not. There would be some irony in jacob missing more football season than you.
We’re thinking about going to bear lake this weekend. It’s going to be crowded, and we got a crappy campsite. But it will be fun to get out of the house. It’s been hot, so the water will be nice.
Well kid, I sure love you. I look forward to hearing from you tomorrow.
Pops
