Big brown oily stinky milkshake

Did you know that the stinkiest fluid on the Jeep does not, in fact, emanate from your dad? I’d dare say that it is, in fact, gear oil. How do I know that? My gear oil is leaking. Why? Incompetence. Both on the part of the shop that did the repairs post-flood, an of me. I took it to a Jeep repair shop to get a bid to see if I could get insurance to pay for the repairs due to the original repairs being supposedly guaranteed. The last thing the guy said was, “if it was me, I would have drained and refilled them after the repair.”

 ...duh...face slap

So yesterday I did just that. The back came out like a frothy melted milkshake. Which means that it was not changed. The front was cleaner, but I’m glad I changed it. I think I’ll change the back oil again, just to make sure that ant remnants of water are gone. I’ll do the front when I fix the seals...IF I can’t get the insurance to pay for it.

Out of frustration I was pricing Jeep gladiators online. Did you know that for only $6,000 down and $997 a month I could have a brand new one of my very own? Or I can just fix mine and be super happy about it.

If I can get to feeling confident about it, we’re going to go camping on Friday. Fingers crossed.

Conference was amazing as always. Looks like it’s time for your mom and I to work on our food storage, to start praying more, and to be less racist. Actually, I really enjoyed it, but I always look forward to reading and marking them while I study them.

The weird thing is, there is probably only one more conference till jacob goes on his mission.

Your cousin Tyler got engaged, to a man. Your cousin seems to be the wife if my interpretation of the photos is accurate. 

I’v made good progress on my speakers. All the parts a cut to size and I made a circle jig for my router to make perfect(ish) circles. Next will be assembly, build the crossovers, paint and finish. I just need to decide where I’m going to put them.

Your cousin Hayley has COVID-19, as does her new baby. Her parents were up the last weekend, so now they’re in quarantine. Reportedly uncle Tim has a “cold”. Apparently he’s being stubborn about getting tested.

Oh, President trump also has Covid. I have to fight my nature to do as I’m told and wish him a speedy recovery. 

BYU’s feeling pretty good about themselves these days. They are now ranked 15th after beating three bottom dwellers. What a strange year. I’m not sure why after not being able to play Army doesn’t count as a forfeit. In my day (imagine my shakes old man voice} if you couldn’t play because you weren’t ready, that was a loss. Curse this dang participation win culture.
