Ripoff

 Oh hi kid!

Well, add another repair to the list. I finally got tires for the Jeep Compass. I took them to Burt brothers to get them installed. Remember that name, and never ever go there. I asked them to simply mount the 4 tires I brought in. Simple request eh? Well, I dropped it off and two hours later I get a call, the punk on the phone says he has bad news. He said I need ball joints, tie rod ends, rear brakes, an alignment. The worst part? He said the wheel had a hole in it and there’s no way I drove in with it like that. Moron. I don’t know how the hole got there, but it got there after I dropped it off. I checked the ball joints, it doesn’t need them. Tie rod ends? It definitely needs them, brakes, probably. Will it cost the $1500 the quoted me? More like $90 if I do it, or $300 if I take it somewhere reputable. Remember that lesson Benjamin, car shops almost always lie to you. Never just take their word for it, always do your research, learn how a car works to know if you’re getting cheated. YouTube is your friend and an honest mechanic is more valuable than almost anything.

In other repairs, I fixed a hole grandma and grandpa’s wall that happened when grandpa fell out of bed. I must say it looks like it never happened. I also have the middle room ready for you in the basement, but I think mom has a few more touches. I’m patching up the small room now. I’m not sure if jacob will get his room cleaned up in time for me to do that one.

I did pass a milestone in my speaker construction. I got the crossovers built today. I’ll get them installed this week, then do some testing. And hopefully get them sealed up ready for finish. I’m fixing up that little room to maybe have a little music/reading room. But I may still put them in my office.

Cecily’s surgery went well, but it’s a long recovery. Everyone else seems to be doing well.

You may have heard about the election. First time in four years I didn’t want to punch the big mouth leader of our country right in the face. That’s enough for me.

The Utes game got canceled, too many players on the team with Covid. BYU blew out Boise state. So football pretty much went as badly as possible this weekend. Oh, and Gary Anderson got fired after the third blowout of the season.

It snowed today, and we had meatloaf and pumpkin pie at grandmas for dinner, so today was a pretty good day.

Welp, enough mundane. I think my letters were a bit more earnest when I was out of work. I guess I’m thinking my letters should be a little more spiritual, or righteous if you prefer. I am grateful for my job everyday,

Sure love you kid,

Pops

P.S the governor has declared a Covid emergency, the details are coming out momentarily. He just issued a mask mandate and gathering restrictions until the day before your return. You may be coming home to as many restrictions as you’re leaving.
