Mom fed me bacon from the trash for this morning.

 I’m pretty sure that I’m the only person in this family that is routinely fed from the trash, including Gus.

We’ve reached the time on Sunday when dinner is over, the dishes are done, and Jacob is flipping from NFL playoffs to the Utes game. Green Bay is surprisingly killing Dallas 20-0 just before halftime. And the Utes are tied with Stanford late in the first half. 

Today in church Kyson Crowther gave his farewell speech. He did a nice job, but it was no Joseph rivera farewell speech. He started to get emotional so Ben decided to read about Charles Manson during the talk, don’t look him up. Jacob gave the lesson in Elders quorum and did a nice job. I had three comments. He assured me that he was fine with that.

I’ve been busy at work, I even worked several hours yesterday. Next week might be bad and I even have to work next Sunday. I haven’t been this stressed about work for a while now. I find myself needing to pray more, which ironically seems like a blessing in an of itself. I wouldn’t go as far as saying that I’m going through a trail right now, but it does help me understand the value of trials.I’ve always told you guys that there’s good stress and bad stress. I look at this as good stress as there is something that I can do about it.

I think Ben’s been a little stressed out too. He paid tuition last week and is broke. I’m probably going to need  to buy him gas. I know that’s a rough position for him, but on the other hand, he was able to cover tuition. School is expensive these days. I worry about Jacob when he starts at the U.

Well, the Utes just lost, mostly on poor free throw shooting. Remember that year the won every home game and lost every road game? It looks like one of those years. Green Bay is currently routing Dallas. I’m guessing you’re squarely in Dallas cowboy country.

Looks like it’s pretty cold out there. Buy a coat tomorrow if you need to. Well pay you back. Oh, we looked for a pair of those pday pants you were asking about. They were out of your size. Well keep looking, but they are out of season at Costco right now. If you really need some, we’ll find you some online and get them to you. Let us know if you need anything else.

Yesterday after I worked for a while, I really needed to get out of the house so Ben and I went to the car show. I’m not going to lie, it was pretty lame. I didn’t get a close look at an orange gladiator rubicon like the one I was looking at. It’s was super nice. But when I sat in it I got flashbacks of those trips the were aborted because of my broken down. I was really looking forward to seeing the new Toyota Land Cruiser to. They had one there, a prototype. But it was really kind dull. I was disappointed that I didn’t like it more. The one that surprised me though was the new Toyota Tacoma. That thing seemed even more butch than the wrangler. I really am happy with my 4Runner though. I just like cars more than I should.

It was fun to get out with Ben, I think we both needed a break.
