Cupcake Wars

Dear Good-Ol-Ben,

I just wanted to knock out a quick note for your package. I chose this brand of messenger bag as it’s one of my favorite camping equipment brands. I hope it lasts for you. I’ll throw in a sharpie so you can mark it IF it suits you. If not, send it back and I’ll look for something more along your liking. Hopefully the other requested items meet your expectations. The dental supplies are from your mom.

The question of your phone...I know I’m making too much of this. If you can’t call from your device, let me know, and I’ll get you one by Tuesday night. It would be nice to chat for a few minutes. Your mom and brothers are very worried they won’t have a break in your schedule to talk, they all really hope to.

Not too much has happened since Monday. Mom got a new job (I’m stealing her thunder) She’ll be working at the new elementary school just to the east of us. I recon that uncle Rico could hit it with a football from our house, but it will take mom 10 minutes to drive around. Still, net gain overall. She’s very excited. I tend to think someone with your mom’s qualities would be in high demand. I’m always grateful she settled for me.

We have a day trip to the Elberta Tunnel scheduled for Monday, Martin Luther King Day. I’ll miss you, I’ll send pictures.

I need to be off to the combined activity tonight, Cupcake Wars. I’m sure you have a tinge of regret not being able to participate in that.

I’ll send along a neat article on Zach Moss, it gets us hopeful and excited for next season.

Donavan Mitchell’s stock is back on the rise in the nba, although I think it’s deserved, Gobert is still the heart of the team and may be being looked passed a little.

I just got home from the activity, your brothers are still playing. I’ve a bit of a sugar rush as I had to help judge the cupcakes. Without trying to be unkind, they were all disgusting. I hate cupcakes just as bad as Escelleto hates orphans. Excepting mom cupcakes of course, I love them.

I love you Ben, I’m anxiously awaiting the next chapter in your service as I’m sure you are. Go with no apprehension, you’re prepared and you’re worthy. Embrace and relish whatever comes.
