Hi Ben, 

I just wanted to drop a quick note in your box of stuff. I resisted the temptation to send you snacks, so I ate a bunch on your behalf.

I finished painting the movie room last night, it looks awesome if I do say so. Jacob helped me put the screen back on the wall. I remember you helping me the first time.

Tonight was Stake Council. President McMullen asked about you, then he had members of the High Council and Stake Presidency report on their own missionaries. In all, there were six reports. There are currently 50 missionaries out from our Stake, with 27 currently working on papers.

The Utes beat ASU tonight, they were down by 17 in the first half to win by 10. Jacob was relaying updates to me in my meeting. He tells me that ASU had beaten Kansas, ranked number 1 at the time, earlier this season.

I’ve been catching up on conference talks lately. There were three consecutive talks in the Saturday morning session that were exceptionally powerful to me. The talks by Elder Rasband-Be not troubled; Elder Bednar-Gather Together in One All Things in Christ; and Elder Oaks-Truth and the plan. Maybe it’s just me, but the tone of the prophets seems to becoming more direct, and more focused. It was also announced that there are changes to the endowment ceremony, I look forward to experiencing them. You may get a chance before we do.

Love you Ben, you’re a short timer now. I don’t know if you’re anxious to go or not—or nervous about the language. I’m excited for you, I love you, we pray for you constantly.
