Blissfully busy

O hi kid!

It’s funny how one can go from literally nothing to do to being busy from 8am to 11pm every day. Don’t take that for a complaint, in fact, I couldn’t be happier about it.

Things are getting busier at work, I’m getting to know my staff and my boss better. Things aren’t perfect there, in fact, several things are broken. That being said, there’s plenty to do and I feel I add value. I’ve let myself get into, as Nacho Libre would say, the nitty gritty of things to just see as much detail as I can get. But now to add value, and to simply do what they hired me to do, I need to start getting into the long view. There’s plenty of opportunities to do things better. It should be fun.

Last night we had EQ presidency meeting from 8:30 to 10:30. We were going over ministering family companionships and families. President Hansen does a really great job. Saturday morning we’re going to help Sister Gates lay a little cement. Saturday night we’re having an EQ bbq competition. I’ve entered your mom’s brisket, creamed corn, and baked beans (grandmas receipt) we should be millionaires by the end of the night.

Today Artie called and offered us Jazz tickets. Mom had parent-teacher conference till late. So your brothers and I went with him. It was a pretty great game against the 76rs. I like this team so far this year. The Jazz won by two, though they lead for the majority of the game.

Speaking of hoops , the Utes beat Nevada last night, on the road. Nevada, according to Jacob, was undefeated at home last year. I was at church, so I missed it all. But according to Jake, it was a great game and they played well. We are the fourth youngest team in college basketball according to Jacob. This may be a halfway fun season after all.

I hope things are continuing to go well for you. You sound like you are in the prime of your mission. Enjoy this time, it will soon seem fleeting. But you will always look back on it as a happy time, and the memories of it will get you through future challenging times.

Once again enough of that.

I just want you to know how proud of you I am and how much I love you.

P.s. still liking the hybrid rav4 Toyota! Does it have several self-driving and automated accident avoidance features?
