Your first-last

Err herr lerterl kerrd!

(That was from our little friend  argeorqui)

He’s been doing an impression of your mom, he repeats something three time to Joey. For example: today mom left before us for church. Joe was procrastinating. So for about 10 minutes straight, argeorqui said “Gerr terr cherrch, gerr terr cherrch, gerr terr cherrch.”without stopping. Joe was not amused. Tonight argeorqui repeatedly said, “Gerr terr berrd, gerr terr berrd, gerr terr berrd.” For some reason, nobody thinks that it’s a super accurate impression. But at least it’s annoying.

I’m laying here next to mom in bed. She likes to dictate her letters to you. I think that she is so dorkily appealing when she does that. She is so doggone cute.

I sent some stuff to you about the Utes. They are so good it’s easy to take them for granted. The win was so easy that your uncle Tim was asleep on out couch for the last three quarters of the game. I reluctantly admit that my eyes drooped a little in the third quarter as well. Moss had 203 yards, and reached his third 1000 yard season. Let’s hope for no upsets next week against Colorado. And bring on Oregon. I anticipate the Utes getting 6th place this Tuesday for the bowl rankings...of course I’ll keep you posted. With all that talk of the play offs, I don’t like to let my hopes go there. I remember when the basketball team went to the finals...it embarrassingly makes me emotional just to day dream about it. What I really hope is that the beat Colorado, then beat Oregon in the Rose bowl and make a good show there. Anything more is gravy.

On the BYU front, they beat a team ranked 126th, so they have that going for them. Their men’s cross-country team won a National title, so now their suddenly avid track and field fans. Oh, and I guess the women’s soccer team is doing okay. So, obviously, they are better than Utah.

Tonight for dinner at grandmas it was fried food Sunday. I must say, that’s not my favorite. That being said, your grandma puts so much love, and so much joy into her Sunday’s, it makes it nearly unbearable. I hope to someday be just a tiny bit like her.

Yesterday was the annual put up the Christmas lights day. I must say I missed you. While not intentionally, the lights look like an animal put them up. But they’re up, and your mom and baby brother are satisfied for another year. Next week...the treee! Sounds like bad horror movie.

Tomorrow we’re having the Carver’s over for treats. I’ve been a pretty bad minister so I’m putting your mom to work. Fatherly advice warning...the woman you marry can improve your social standing in innumerable ways. Marry smart my boy.

I’m looking forward to this week. Three days of work, I’m hoping it’s quiet so I can be productive. Turkey day...I really am intrigued by a holiday about gratitude, and Turkey, mashed potatoes, pumpkin pie, and your aunt Patti’s Sarah’s salad. I hope you eat well too. But this will be you first last holiday in the mission field. Enjoy it, and do be grateful for it.

Well, I’m battling my eyelids, and they’re about to win. I sure love you Benjamin. I miss you, but I’m so grateful for your willingness to serve and your example.

Lyity,

Pops
