Day 1

November 14th, 2018

Dear Benjamin,

I’ve decided to write to you everyday, but I’m not sure I’ll send it to you every day, I may just let the days pile up in one letter and send it to you to read on P-day.

The ride home was calm, the only thing that betrayed mom’s sadness were the 4 stern lectures she gave us. The 4th was the sharpest.

Your letter was waiting in my email when we got home. It was sure nice to get even that. I look forward to hearing about your day-to-day, your companion, your roommates, etc. etc. Tell us all you can.

Your brothers discovered DearElder as you probably know by now. Let me know if it’s too much. They’re trying to be tough, but they sure miss you. Bedtime is the hardest...maybe for you too.

Mom and I went to help out with the young men’s activity tonight. It was about serving in Canada. Lots of questions about you. You’re leaders sure love you.

People have been commenting on Facebook on those photos mom posted. You are loved by so many Benjamin.

You forgot a few things. Your shampoo, but I’m guessing yo figured that out by now. The insurance card, I’ll find out how to get you one when I’m at work tomorrow. Your cheap watch, but you knew that. Let us know what else you need.

I’m writing this at night again, only this time there’s no low tones of talking from your room. I miss that already.

Love

Dad

P.S. Reason to be glad your not here #2: it’s time to fluff the Christmas tree
