Wedding Day

November 17, 2018

Dear Benjamin,

I guess this is two letters in the same day, but I count the last one for yesterday, which may have been one of the longest days in my life.

We ended up getting home about 3:30 am, and it took me a little while to get to sleep, luckily I could sleep till 8, so it was ok.

Today was about Mark and Brook’s wedding. We got to go to the Payson temple, it was really beautiful. We thought if it was a week earlier, you would have been with us. I missed watching the game during the wedding, but we rewatched it when we got home. The Utes won 30 to 7. On the way home, we passed by the MTC again. Mom thought she could see you again, but I couldn’t see anything.

Tonight we went to the reception, luckily it was close by in Draper. Now that your away, everybody is noticing how tall Jacob has gotten.

We’re watching the Oregon/ASU game. Oregon has scored on the first drive. I really don’t feel like watching it, but I want to know that Utah has wrapped up the South.

Ben, I’m thankful tonight that this has been a less eventful letter. We’re hurting for the Allen’s, we left their names in the temple and we’re going to fast for them tomorrow. Grandpa’s doing well, but he looks like he was in a fight. I thought I had a High Council talk tomorrow, but I reread the assignment and it’s next Sunday, so I‘m feeling relieved. Tomorrow will be a tough Sacrament meeting, but I know the Spirit will be there strongly.

I love you My Mighty Ben,

Dad

Reason to be glad you’re not here #5: Mom would have made you go to the Wedding even if your brothers stayed home to watch the game.
