Old faithful
Good evening elder,
Just wanted to send you this quick update. Today we got up and went to the old faithful side of the park. We planned on getting to the entrance gate right as it opened...so did about a thousand other people. There was a mile long line of cars going into the entrance. The funny thing was, the were all in one lane. So we decided to drive down the other lane. We received a few stern looks, but I have a pretty good oblivious face for those situations. We scooped in close and we’re the third car into the park.
I have to say that the park was beautiful this morning. Lots of snow was remaining, and a lot of the secondary areas were still closed. But we got to see the main highlights, with plenty left to discover next time when you are with us. We had old faithful nearly to ourselves. My favorite was the prismatic pools. I don’t think my little collage does it justice, but the email through a lot easier.
We got home before 7 this evening. Mom made chicken noodle soup. I got the pig back from Vincent before our trip. I’m sad to say he returned it very worse for ware. It stalls at idle and has a nail in the tire. I hope the rough idle is just a vacuum leak. I did find a cracked hose I’m going to replace. There are so many of those lines on a car though, those leaks can be tough to track down. I’ll be super happy if I can fix it. If I can’t fix it inexpensively, I’m not sure what I’ll do with it. I do hope I can keep it running so Jacob can get his license and have it available for a summer job.
I’m grateful we’re home safely. We missed you on this trip and your brothers kept saying we’d come back when you’re home.
Love you kid
Pops
