I blame you

Oh hi Jacob,

Yes, I said it. It is your fault. The Lord must love you enough to make sure that you’re not missing anything, Utes wise anyway. Benjamin is pretty sad, he’s missed so many seasons and the Utes just got beat. BYU played harder and expected to win. Utah’s offense line was so bad. Brewer was not clutch. Kithie and Covey got minimal looks. The play calling was standard Utah overly conservative and boring. But the worst part was the defense, they did not look tough, at all. I don’t remember Devin loyds name being called more than once. I hope the Utes are better than this, or it’s going to be a long season.

The things BYU fans are saying are just nuts. One guy on Facebook said that he counts all the years not played as BYU wins. Which means that by the time the teams play again BYUs streak will be 4. I dropped a guy from my Facebook friends. I barely knew him  and he was trying to gloat. I had about 10 roasts in mind, but I thought “I didn’t even know this guy…” the game was brought up about 10 times in sacrament meeting. Yeah, I would have preferred to be in Mexico today too.

We watched the game here last night. Artie and the bergs came over. Uncle Aaron and max came over later. I’m SOOO glad mom’s family wasn’t here. Mom broke out some of your old jerseys. I wore that really worn out one, Joey wore your old Weddle jersey, and mom wore Joe’s old Rivera jersey. So that was fun. I did send uncle Tim a congratulatory text though. It’s been a tough 12 years for him. 

In other news…joe and I are watching Cruella. It mildly entertaining. The soundtrack is good.

In real news, we had a high council announcement that we’ll be getting a new bishop next week. I have to admit that I felt pretty sad to hear that. He’s probably the best bishop I’ve ever had. I loved how he’s been with you boys. Mom’s guess is that he’s going to be in the stake presidency. Im thinking area 70. Or some other GA. Im not sure who will be the next bishop, last time we lost a bishop to the stake presidency he was replaced by a guy who made you do push-ups.

Friday night we went to grandmas for grandpa’s birthday. She ordered Mo’ Bettas. She bought like $500 bucks worth of food and had it delivered. Mom got a call when we were on our way that maybe she got ripped off. She thought there wasn’t going to be enough. Well, after all of us billions of fat family members ate, there was over half it left. We played a game of 20 questions about grandpa. It was pretty fun. But one of the great grandkids cheated to win the prize. Which was typical for them.

I’m thinking of building a shed in the backyard. I know that’s riveting news.

I’ve heard nothing from that job I was interested in, I’m just grateful for my job. Even though it frustrates me about 49% of the time.

Okay, this movie is pretty dumb.

I added some more lights to the 4runner yesterday. They’re not hooked up yet, but it looks pretty cool. I’ll send a pic when they are working. I still need to wire up my air compressor.

We heard more ugly news about your uncle Patrick this week. Seven massage parlors were raided by the police this week for prostitution and human trafficking. One of them is owned by him. According to the news, he wasn’t arrested. I don’t know how he’s shielded himself, but I do hope that justice catches up with him. I can’t imagine the evil he’s been connected to. I’m just so glad that the trial is over and that aunt patti is completely not associated with him. I still can’t reconcile how someone I knew so well went so bad. It wasn’t that he decided to make these horrible choices all at once. We always need to be careful with our small choices, because one at a time they can take us so far from where we intended to be. 

Ok, we’ll, I hope all my emails last night were not overly distracting, or depressing.
