A mighty boring letter

 Oh hi Bake,

I probably need to start this letter with an apology for calling your comp a dumb ass. But I figure as long as you have a missionaries charity towards him, that will suffice. Of course I want you to get along with him and have a good companionship, and the teaching will be better for it. I just resent and dislike people that have to tear down others in order to build themselves up. Most likely, none of that is reality and I’m overreacting to Ben’s comment.

I’m in a strange mood tonight. I just found out that a guy I worked with at Neways died of Covid today. I wasn’t close friends with him or have even seen him since before I quit there. But I know he was a good person with a family that loves him. I know nothing of how he got Covid or his political views. It just doesn’t feel right that he had to suffer and die like that.

Everyone is off work and school tomorrow but me, they started the movie late but I’m kinda tired so I just want to write to you and get to bed. Joes getting his booster tomorrow, and mom’s going to some Betty white thing and lunch tomorrow with grandma and aunt Lithia.

This end of the week was pretty standard, work is busy enough but not too bad. Thursday night the Utes game against Arizona state was canceled because Arizona couldn’t travel due to Covid. Yesterday they led Arizona for most of the first half then lost by around 20. I may be wrong, but that team seems to quit before they get beat.

Friday the highlight was getting Stromboli pizza from the Pie, oh man was that good. I can’t even remember what movie we watched.

Saturday mom and I got up to take her car in for service. Nobody seemed to show up for work at the close Walmart, so we went to the one in south Jordan. Then we just went grocery shopping as usual. Grandma took us out to lunch at the crown burger. Your grandma is the person I most wish I could be like. Even if she didn’t pay it would still be the best part of the weekend. My project around the house is fixing the trim in the living room. I think I told you about extending the trim between the living room and the kitchen last week, yesterday I did the trim at the bottom of the niche at the top of the stairs. I got them cut, mounted and the nail holes filled. Now the worst part…prime and paint. The next project I need to do is to run more electrical outlets in my garage. I keep tripping the current ones. I also want to add an outlet big enough for a small welder.

Today was church. Bishop Snarr asked me to sit in on priests quorum Presidency meeting. I’m not sure how comfortable bishop is in this calling yet, so I try to be as supportive as possible. I probably just talk too much. Later we went to grandmas for dinner. She had roast beef, rolls, and mashed potatoes, so good. Only uncle Tim’s family was there, mark may have Covid so he stayed home, so it was nice. Grandma really misses you and Jordan, she gets teary at the mere mention of you guys. I kinda miss you too.

There’s not a lot going on so my letter reflects that. We had such a fun holiday season and football season that it’s hard to complain. I am ready for an adventure so hopefully we can get out. Tomorrow will be awesome because we’ll hear from you.

Well, I sure love you kid,

Pops
