Argeorqui II
Oh hi kid,
I’m starting this email a tad earlier tonight. Grandma and grandpa are still here from dinner. Tonight as I prayed over dinner it came to me how Sunday dinners are kind of the demonstration of blessings we get every week. With your mom, brothers and grandparents around a table of yummy food, it would really be hard not to feel grateful. I admit, not having you around the table is a mixed blessing, I sure miss you being here but I’m so grateful and proud of your efforts in the mission field. We had the classic roast beef and mashed potato dinner. Mom made tres leches cake for dessert, yum. I just got the dishes done we’re watching the 49ers/Chargers game. Cincinnati beat Kansas City in the earlier game.
Today Jacob Feilding was one of the speakers in church, I thought he did a good job. I must admit I’m jealous of his hair. Surprisingly, Ben didn’t offer a rant about it.
Yesterday was a chore day. We went shopping early then we went to go help aunt Stella with her new iPhone after. It’s funny to watch mom explain all the different uses to someone who really couldn’t understand any use for a phone besides, well, a phone. Your brothers went to go help grandma clean the top of her cabinets, which doesn’t sound like much but trust me, it was real service. I’m proud of how willing they are to always help.
Later I worked on trying to wire up my lights and compressor on my 4Runner. This is not the first Saturday I’ve worked on this, I had to redo what I had done before and I didn’t finish, so it won’t be the last Saturday either. I suck at wiring. After, I painted the new trim in the living room. I still need a second coat and to touch up the wall paint. I must admit that I got pretty frustrated with the mess and how long it’s taken, and the house was a freaking mess. But we got it cleaned up last night and this morning. I may take a break before I do the next phase of the project, I may rip out the fireplace mantle and tile and do something completely different. Mom wants to put up an 85” tv on that side of the room. Should be fun.
Oh, the big news. I found a rare gray vintage 1976 Animal Fair plush. In other words, I found a young argeorqui on eBay. Yes, I am 55 years old, and yes, I am preoccupied with a stuffed toy. He should be here Wednesday. If you’re very good, I’ll send you some photos.
I had another head hunter reach out to me. I think I’ll express interest even though going through the whole interview process with only a small chance of anything coming of it seems like a giant hassle. I had a good airplane dream earlier this week, I really couldn’t assign any meaning to it. So when I saw this, I thought maybe that’s why I should follow up. Sometimes I’m not sure if my obsession with those dreams is faith or superstition.
Man Jacob, I really can’t think of much else to tell you. I may hang onto this till bedtime before I hit send just in case something pops into my head.
Oh, one thing, I must have fallen for clickbait because Joe ingles I’d on the jazz and seemingly he never left. Nevertheless, the jazz maintain a loosing streak, but still a few games behind the Craig Smith led Utes at 10 straight loses. Hmmfff.
Well, Love-YA-I-tell-YA!. See you tomorrow,
Pops
