Street tacos

Dear Beeg (GR),

How are you kid. I have a revelation for you, something I’ve never suspected, probably nobody else has either...I’m old. Yes, hard is that may be to fathom, it’s sadly evident today. You see, yesterday I did a full day of chores, physical ones. I moved the giant new couch in the basement twice to clean the carpet, I mowed the lawn, and I replaced the front shocks on my Jeep. Those shocks should have, in theory, been simple to change, but I had to remove both heavy tires, then I pronounced several curses on the Chrysler/Jeep engineers that made a simple job way too complex with poor accessibility to the top nuts. Today when I woke up I could hardly move, I’m still feeling it now, at 9:30 pm.

Speaking of waking up, today we had a 7am Stake Priesthood meeting, you brothers willingly came with me despite the hour.

After church, Joseph received his patriarchal blessing with patriarch Wardell. He asked about you. The blessing was amazing, he said that beyond his mission, joe was going to be doing a lot of service to the Lord. I’m excited to see what’s in store for that kid.

We had June birthdays here today. Mom made the amazing marinated grilled chicken street tacos with all the fixins. She says that when she’s missing you, she cooks the things you like. She must have been really missing you today, they were insanely yum.

Job search update: I had the 4th interview for that job on Thursday. It was with the staff that I’d be managing. They are a well seasoned bunch that I think I would get along with. I think it went well. I followed up with the hiring manager who’s out of town over text on Friday. He’ll be meeting with the team tomorrow, then hopefully I’ll get a call for an interview with the president...fingers crossed my kid. Joe was asked to fast for 24 hours before his blessing, so mom and I also fasted. I prayed for two things, including the job. I feel super hopeful Ben, but I’m trying not to assume anything. I did see a job for a Vice President of Creative services for the Utah Jazz. I’ll apply tomorrow. But I want the one the one I’m in process for.

Bad news for the runnin Utes, Donny Tillman is out for this season for personal reasons. Something about his mom’s health. Otherwise, I’m getting pretty excited about football season, they’re getting pretty hyped in the media.

Tomorrow we’re going to grandmas to fix her fridge, I ordered parts that I hope fit and I hope they’re easy to put on. We also need to sand and refinish her deck. Your uncles have been threatening to do it for a year and haven’t, so I’d like to get it done before I’m working again, which I desperately hope is soon.

Well, I sure love you kid. Every Sunday I have several people asking about you. We think of you constantly and pray for you always. Till tomorrow,

Pops
