A super team

 Hi kid,

This’ll be a shorty.  I just discovered the published histories of the Stake and ward that I grew up in. Here’s an excerpt from 1982: April Teacher’s Quorum Basketball Team (Randy Fox, Paul Harper, Jeff Hiatt, Greg Lunt, George Rivera) were a super team and winners of the Stake basketball championship. They practiced hard, showed good sportsmanship and terrific team spirit

So now who’s the best basketball player in the family?

Yesterday you’re brothers went on a 10.5 mile bike ride. It was fun but mom’s old bike broke when Jake was on it so he had to walk it home. I started the repairs today, a broken rear derailer cable. But when I was in there I noticed that the sprocket on the derailer was also broken, so I ordered the part today. Jake’s thinking of using his paycheck to buy a new bike. That is, if Mark ever pays him.

Tonight joe and I went over to brother blattmans where the teachers Quorum was reloading shotgun shells. The filled them with flour, candy, tacks, string, empty primers, and...lead shot. What wonders can still take place in the world where mothers are not invited.

Two weeks until...THE GAME.

I may have gotten a lead on some freelance.

I was rejected by that job that I had the second interview for. I’m still not desperate enough to recognize that as anything but a relief. I continue to endeavor and to pray however.

Sister Allen tried to get mom to adopt a kitten, you can guess the result.

Tomorrow I’m going to brunch with aunt Patti.

Jacob has to go do windows and meet mark at 6 am. My prediction: Mark will be over an hour late. Dang, I should try to sleep.

Lyity

Pops
