Three Elbows, a Slip Joint, and a T

Oh hi kid!

So how was your Sunday? How did your discussion with your new contact go? How was your weekend? eat anything interesting? 

I finally fixed the sprinkler leak. Turns out that it had nothing to do with the valves themselves. The installer had put three elbows, a slip joint an a T all within about 18”. There were three dry glue joints leaking within that distance. So I replaced it with one elbow, one straight pipe and on flexible pipe, we’ll see if that holds any better. I miss wired the valves when I was putting everything else together, so that took me another bunch of hours. I swear that I’m getting worse at fixing things, so I just need to b more determined.

I haven’t finished the repair on mom’s bike yet, but I will. And the pig...aw crap the pig!

I also finally replaced the light by the basketball court. It comes on automatically at dark. I hope it doesn’t bug the neighbors. It’s not too bright though. Let’s see how many direct hits it will withstand from the ball.

Mark finally paid Jacob, so he bought his bike. It’s a canondale mountain bike with 29” wheels. Think of it as a scaled up version of the orange bike. It’s pretty nice. He really likes it. I’m really proud of him.

On ESPN game day last Saturday the commentators were giving their playoff predictions. Lee Courso had Utah beating Clemson in the playoff and meeting Alabama in the championship. It’s made a stir nationally. Jake read something that said when BYU fans predict a national championship this early in the season it bugs the media, and when the media predicts a national championship this early in the season, it bugs Utah fans. I’ve NEVER seen this much hype for the Utes before. As previously stated, I don’t love it.

Urban Meyer was interviewed by a national sports show where he said that the 2004 Utes team was his favorite year of coaching. He also said that that team could have beaten anybody on any given Saturday.

Well, I hope for a good week. Last week we started to pray that I’d get a job this week, this week we’re doing the same. One of these weeks it will happen. I did get a good lead on Friday for a Creative Director job at one of our local mlm companies. I applied for it. I also have a friend that just started there, she gave my resume to the hiring manager and told me he was going to call me. This was late Friday, so fingers crossed.

Went to grandmas today, of course most of the talk was about the game, Disney’s upcoming streaming service, and all the upcoming Star Wars and marvel shows we can watch on it. Should be fun.
