Moab with the teachers Quorum
Dear Benjamin,
I’m starting this letter as I wait to go to Bishopric meeting. It my turn to conduct sacrament meeting this month, so I’m feeling just a little nervous. But today is Fast Sunday, so at least I don’t have to worry about speakers. On Fast Sunday’s when it’s your turn to conduct, you lead off the testimonies. I had been envisioning myself bearing testimony on how grateful I was to finally be back to work. Well, still working on that as you are aware. However, as I’ve been contemplating this morning, so many thing have come to mind that have been strengthening and comforting. We, I’ve been so blessed through this time.. I probably won’t talk about that though. More likely I’ll bear testimony of all the fine leaders and dedicated members we have in our ward. Between youth conference, High adventures, Ward Council, etc., etc., I have seen so much effort put into serving one another in our Ward. It has been so impressive.
It’s quiet here right now, everyone is still asleep. I let your brothers sleep in every other Sunday and we do Come Follow Me after Bishopric meeting and before sacrament, otherwise we do it about 8 before I have to go. Oh, joe just came up and I heard mom’s alarm go off.
On the job front, I do have that in person interview with that PR agency tomorrow, it’s at 11:30. I’ll let you know how it went. I got another “your still under consideration “ email from IHC, but no indication of an interview or next step. I also saw that Henry shcien has re posted that job, this time under Sr. Manager rather than director. I have composed a fairly bold message to the hiring manager in my head, I’ll keep you posted on that too.
Well, gotta go. I’ll finish this up later

We’re home now. We’re watching some Christian movie that your mom chose. I’m only endorsing it because your brothers hate it so bad.
Today after church mom made hot roast beef sandwiches and we went up the canyon for a picnic. As it was fast Sunday, we were all pretty hungry, and you know what that means. So we went up little cottonwood canyon and stopped at the first place possible. It was a campground, really peaceful. Your brothers said we were breaking federal law because we didn’t have reservations or pay entrance fees. There was nobody at the gate, and we were only there for half an hour. It sure was pretty though. After we went to see grandma. I sure feel at ease there.
Now we’re watching the original Lion King, that Christian movie was just so bad. Plus, we don’t have to go see the new one now.
The rest of joe’s Moab trip was fun. Thursday they went mountain biking. Joe did great, especially since it was his first time. Later that afternoon, we went to Dead Horse point. Most of the boys had never been, but it’s hard not to be impressed, unless you’re Wesley of course.
After that, we took The Long Canyon Road back to Moab. That’s the road where you go under the giant rock. It’s a very steep decent, but otherwise pretty tame with the exception of a rough patch right under the rock. Brothers knight and Blake took their pickups down and did fine. They both seemed to have really enjoyed it.
After dinner we went to double arch at sunset, boy was that pretty, felt almost magical.
The next day was the river trip. I was very similar to the one we did in 2011. Did you go on a high adventure there when you were priest? I seem to recall. It was pretty fun, but I missed being with you guys. We came home after for baptisms on Saturday.
Well that’s about all I have, as always, I look forward to hearing from you tomorrow. I sure love you kid.
