Lectures and snoorinh
O hi BGR!
Okay, I need to start this letter off with a confession. I barely printed out your Greek verb tables and stuck them in an envelope. Actually, I put them in a little bound folder, then in a mailing envelope. I’ll get them to a post office ASAP.
I don’t have much in the way of news. At work I’m getting close to expanding my staff by two, which is a pretty big deal. I’ve had some pretty good success with some ads I’ve been working on. Now I’m getting to the production phase and looking forward to producing and directing imagery for that.
Your mom’s coming down with a cold so please keep her in your prayers. And speaking of prayers, and I’ll need you not to mention this to jacob, ever. His grades in math and chemistry are pretty bad, and I’m afraid he’s giving up. That boy has always been smart enough that things have been easy. Well, as you know those two subjects take a little more effort than just showing up at class. Anyway, he’s about done with lectures from me and your mom (remember how much you enjoyed the exchange’s over driving we used to have?). As you know, he’s super good at digging in and being defensive. I’m also worried that it’s now affecting his self esteem...satan’s favorite tool. All I’m asking is for you to think of him in your prayers. Ask Heavenly Father to inspire home to take ownership of this and get on top of it. Also ask with us that we don’t nag him so bad he just digs in to spite us. I don’t know how big of a deal this is in the grand scheme of life, but he is running out of time. He also doesn’t understand how he’s limiting his choices. But the main thing is, he needs to succeed enough to bolster his confidence. On the positive side, mom’s found a tutor and jakes agreed to go in early once a week. Please, don’t mention this to him, just keep him in your prayers as we will.
I had a plan to lead a group of friends and family to see some ghost towns on Monday. But, we don’t get Presidents’ Day off at my new job. So I’m debating whether to take a vacation day or not.
You’ll be glad to know that I’m involving Chris Bigelow in some of my work projects, funny stories will surely emerge.
The Jazz are back on a four game winning steak after a five game loosing streak. They’ve wore a franchise record number of games before the all star game, which is encouraging.
Well, I love you kid. I hope this letter finds you happy, healthy and with your bike tires intact.
Pops
P.S. the tables are turned and mom congestion induced snoring may keep me awake
