Knife in the drain
Oh hi kid,
This is my Wednesday letter, which means it will be pretty short. I thought of you not getting transferred, and wonder what this next 6 weeks will bring you. Or us for that matter.
Tonight I went to grandmas after work to fix her clogged sink. It had been clogged for a couple of days. Grandpa said I’d need the snake because the clog was so bad. I took the pipes underneath the sink apart and I dinner knife had somehow slipped into the drain. And when grandpa dumped his rice in the sink, not the disposal side, it clogged. The whole job took me about 10 minutes. That plus the 20 it took me to eat the bacon cheeseburger that grandpa bought me 😃.
We it’s been cold since the last storm. It’s supposed to snow again tonight. Grandma said she plans on staying home tomorrow...I’m glad she can.
The big news is that President Trump has been acquitted. We all kne that would be the case because in our world, much like in the world of 1984 by George Orwell, it’s party before state. The real news is that Mitt Romney voted for conviction. Which I thought took real courage. He’s probably the last politician to have any of that, in my opinion.
Apparently, the Utes have the 28th best recruiting class in college football, yet only the 5th best in the Pac12. I’m still a little peeved over the two losses to end the season. As you know, I’ve been known to hold a sports grudge. Speaking of sports grudges, the jazz just dropped their 5th in a row. Bums.
Well kid, that’s about all I have that comes to mind. Just know that I love you, I pray for you, and we pray for those you serve.
Pops
