Butter chicken pizza

 Oh hi fella!

Well, another boring half week this week. The time change has kinda messed me up, plus it’s raining. So I’ve started loading the shed, I have your bikes in there, your bike is freaking huge! I’m going to build some shelves in there, and finish painting. Wow, first paragraph and I want to jump off the roof from boredom.

The Utes bb team played Abilene Christian last night. I listened to most of it and watched the last few minutes. They seemed a bit more physical than in years past. They won 76-50 which isn’t bad considering this is the team that upset Texas in the tournament last year. I listened to the post game and the coach had so much enthusiasm, he was so into it. At one point he told Bill Riley and Jimmy Soto to perk up, which made me laugh. I think he’ll be a fun coach. As you know, it takes me forever to learn player names, but those Utah state players seemed pretty decent. Booth Gotch still hasn’t received clearance from the ncaa to play after the transfer. I may see if we can go to the game against Sacramento state on Saturday after the football game.

Your brothers got to go to the jazz game last night vs Miami thanks to Artie. The jazz won, they bought hats and had McDonald’s.

They left before mom got home so mom and I went to Texas Road House. It was fun to be with her, it seems I’m hardly with her at all these days. She was busy late tonight with parent-teacher conference. She works so hard then I get jealous because I miss her.

I am using the time to catch up on my hobbies, which is about the most pointless thing I can think of to use my time doing. I’m not exaggerating here, I’ll bet I’ve placed about 100 decals on my F15, 90% of which are about 1 mm or smaller. I can only stand to do a dozen or so at a time. It’s looking pretty realistic though. I’m waiting for that one big screw up that messes up the whole plane, but so far I’m pretty pleased. I figure I still have a month or two even though my pace has picked up to maybe two hours a week.

Ive also almost finished an rc that I started just as COVID hit. I’m just painting the body now. It’s, as Joey describes it, a slow one so he won’t be playing with me. It’s called a rock crawler, which is designed to do slow, realistic speeds over rough terrain much like a real Jeep. This one doesn’t have a super realistic body, but it should be fun. I’ll try the types of terrain with it that I’d be too scared to do in my 4Runner, or would have even too scared in my Jeep.

I need to fix my 3D printer. So that project is on pause.

Joey had a job interview at Panda Express today. He said it went well, but he’s waiting for a second interview. It’s $15 an hour which is great, but I know it will bug me if he has to work every weekend.

I think I’m going to take Friday off. I have a doctors appointment and mom needs me to drop her off at Ashley’s, I’m hoping I can squeeze in breakfast with her. Then I’ll work on the shed and maybe play with my rc’s if the weather cooperates.

Ben made butter chicken pizza tonight, it was surprisingly good.

We saw your video this week, yesterday I think. I know you were only in it for tiny glimpses, but it brightened my day. You come across happy, which is really great. I really appreciated what Elder Randall told us about your progress and your language and your teaching. I’m not surprised, I know how capable you are. In some respects, this challenging companion may have been a blessing to you to have to force yourself to do things earlier than you were comfortable with. God always strengthens us with trials. I must admit I hate trials, but I’ve always come through the stronger.

I have a feeling I have a bit of a trial upcoming. I have a meeting with bishop Snarr on Sunday morning. My gut says it’s going to be with the young men. You may know this about me, but darn it if I don’t hate other peoples teenagers. I’ll tell you what it is in my Sunday letter. I never thought I’d say this when I got my Sunday school calling, but I’ve really enjoyed it, and, I feel I may be good at it. Which means it’s probably time for something I’m bad at now that I need to get good at.

Well Jacob, that’s all from me for tonight. Thinking of you always.

Love
