Talks like this, “AAAAHHHK, AAAAHHHK!”
Oh hi Bakey!
So? I’m so curious what this transfer brings you. If you’re getting transferred, I assume you’ll have a busy day. I’m wondering if you had baptisms this week. I wonder if things will change now that you’re not a trainee. I’ll, as always, look forward to hearing from you tomorrow.
We went to grandmas for a late lunch after church today. She had pizza and treats. After dinner, a bunch of your cousins and your mom and I were sitting around the table with grandma. To a person, everyone enjoys your letters the most of all you missionary cousins. They feel the most real and entertaining. You’re cousin Heidi said she reads them every week, and they either make her laugh or cry. She said that she has a coworker who happens to be catholic, who really loves to hear what’s going on. Everyone agrees that you have the grittiest, toughest mission. They agree that Jordan’s doesn’t seem as intense, and that Julyn’s is more Disney than reality. Keep it up young man, you have so many people rooting for you.
This morning I had been called into bishop Snarr’s office. My hunch was correct, I’ll be working with the priests quorum. Poor Joe, no more getting out of activities. I’ll start in a few weeks, so I get to teach gospel doctrine in at least once more. I must say, this is not my dream calling, but at least I’m with Joey. Hopefully, I can get released when he goes on his mission.
Some sad news from that meeting, his daughter Sydney came home. I guess she had been sick for a while and the decided it best for her to come home. According to bishop, she’s not released, they’ll decide what to do as she recovers.
I took Friday off to catch up on fall chores. I finished painting the shed, raked the leaves (actually blew the leafs), mowed the lawn short for the last time this year, and almost got a load to the DI. Joey and I got there 13 minutes late.
Mom was in Layton with Ashley selling Sentsy all day, so your brothers and I went to Cafe Rio for dinner. Mom went with Ashley again on Saturday. Joey and I went to breakfast with my Cousins Estrella and Clary went to breakfast at Jim’s for breakfast before the game. After the game, we went to Layton to pick mom up. It was a fun drive listening to the post game show on the radio. We helped Ashley pack up her stuff. After, we went to this diner called Sill’s. It was one of those old timey places where the waitresses talk like this “AHHHKKK, AHHHKKK!” Actually, the waitresses were fine young ladies and were very attentive. The food was good, especially the giant scones the served with an ice cream scoop of whipped honey butter. We came home and watched that Chinese Marvel movie. As per form, I slept comfortably through most of it.
I sent you that ad about the Utes playing Oregon on ABC at 5:30. Number 3 vs number 24. I think the Utes CAN beat them, I’m not so sure that they WILL beat them. Some say it would be better for the Utes to let Oregon win so that Oregon could wrap up a playoff spot. I’m not sure if Utah is the position of letting Oregon do anything, but I’d take a win, either now or in the championship game. Win or lose, the Utes still have a great chance of going to the PAC12 championship game, and a decent chance of going to the Rose Bowl. I’ve already told mom we’re going to the Rose Bowl if at all possible. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Seeing as how we had such trouble beating Arizona, who won their first game after 20 losses last week.
Well, another week gone by. One full week until thanksgiving. And cousin Rod or not, I love thanksgiving.
We’re watching the River Cruise movie on Disney plus. Not great , but entertaining enough for a Sunday night.
Well, that seems to be about all that comes to mind, I sure love you kid.
