D-Day minus one

Oh hi elder Ben,

Happy conference day,

It’s been a weekend full of completions for me. I got the pig running, at least it didn’t die on my extended test drive. This time I replaced the fuel filter. It took me three times to find the right one, so that took a couple of weeks, I needed to watch several YouTube videos which made it easy. When I pulled out the old one, the dregs that came out looked like thin used deep fryer oil. I hope that takes care of it for a while. If it does stay running, I need to pay the taxes and buy tires for it.

I also finished Cecily’s lap desks, they look pretty good. I used a danish oil to finish them. That sure brings out the grain, the two desks look so different. One used mixed swirl of dark and light wood and the other is even grained dark wood. They both came from a single board.

I also replaced the numeric garage door opener. With me starting work tomorrow. I was worried that your brothers would leave the garage doors open when they went to work. I hope they use it.

During conference, I kept thinking of you watching at the same time we were. I guess you were watching at the big church facility near the temple. Did you have any investigators there? I look forward to reading the talks once published.

Yesterday I worked on my projects during conference. For lunch we met grandma and grandpa at Crown Burger. It was delicious as always. Today grandma made her amazing conference breakfast. I’m still stuffed as I write this three hours later.

A new tradition was started last Sunday at our house and continued today at grandmas. We had an epic game of four square with nearly everyone participating. My only objective is to get Mark out, his reactions are hilarious. Brooke was doing a little dance between serves when she stepped off the edge of the concrete and turned her ankle, before the ball was served. We were devoid of compassion and all had a good laugh. She was a really good sport about it. It was one of the more fun times at grandmas with everyone getting along.

Did you get your packages? I know one was delivered last week, the workbook was shipped separately, it may take a while longer.

It’s hard to believe I start my new job tomorrow. I’ve been pretty calm about it. I’m sure reality will set in soon. I feel deep gratitude to the Lord. Not only for the job either. During the down time he spoke to me through the Holy Ghost, through dreams, and through impressions many times. Each time whatever I was told happened in good time. Now, looking back, that down time went by pretty fast. And we were all blessed an taken care of during that time.

It text you when I can tomorrow, but expect a different pattern for. I do look forward to hearing about your new comp and updates on your investigators San your impressions of conference. Two down and two to go.

I also finished another model kit. It was one I started over twenty years ago, before I met your mom. It’s not my best work, but I do like it.

Well, lyity,

Pops

P.S. the Utes had I bye week. They moved to 17 in the ESPN power rankings and 15 in the AP poll.

P.P.S. Oregon state beat UCLA and Washington lost to Stanford
