Belly full of brisket

Oh hi, elder!

I'm sitting here with a belly full of mom's brisket and tres -leches cake. We had a big shindig today at our house. Uncle Tim invited the elders that taught and baptized grandpa Heumann back before I was born... I know what you're thinking...yes, they're still alive. It was nice to have everyone over. For some reason, every child under the age of ten screamed the whole time though. Those folks were really nice, even though they were BYU fans.

So? Were you transferred? was your companion? are you training? do you have a new area? So curious. Anyway, I hope you are doing well and are happy. I expect details tomorrow.

Remember the story of my giving the millennial eggs to the elders? Well, he told me today that he tried it and nearly vomited. He also hid one in his companion's luggage before transfer. I told him that I'd deny everything should his mission President become involved. I do like that elder, just not enough to remember his name.

Today, both mom and I bore testimony. So there's that.

Friday Joe had the day off last Friday and he had an entire itinerary plane for us as follows.
7:30 - 8:00 — piano lessons
8:00 - 9:00 — get red paint at home depot for one wall in his room
9:00 - 10:00 — del taco for breakfast
10:00 - 10:30 — go to the furniture store to order his bunk bed with his paycheck
10:30 - forever — go to the Spirit Halloween store and look at each mask, costume, decoration and accessory fifty times
The rest of the day — paint Joe's room while he played football with Jacob

It does look good though.

Hopefully, tonight is the last night I have to fill out my unemployment info. I hope everything is set for my job to start a week from tomorrow. Won't that be something?

I decided to try to get the pig going again. It might be the crank position sensor. I ran the codes and that came up. If it's not that, it's probably the fuel pump, but we’ll see.

The Utes move up to 17th in both the ESPN power rankings and the AP poll. Huntley is getting a lot of positive attention for that game, deservedly so. Covey may take a redshirt year to let his knee get stronger. He hasn't been his old self at all this season and didn't play yesterday. The utes have a bye this week for conference, so does BYU. Moss may be back for the following game against Oregon State. BYU lost to Toledo and Zac Wilson is out with a thumb injury. This may be Sitake’s last season. In reality, their AD is the one that should be fired. Oh, and the rumor mill has Bronco Mendenhall replacing Harbaugh at Michigan. Virginia was up to #19, but they lost to #10 Notre Dame yesterday, so they’ll probably remain ranked.

That's about it for me kid. As always, we're thinking and praying for you. We love you.

Pops

P.S. Jacob Carver already has his return date set. It's at the start of November 2020. Have you heard anything about yours? It's still so far out.
